Brilliant Babies

Brilliant  Baby is an Early Childhood Program offered through Oakland Promise, aimed at helping low-income families enhance their children’s academic and socio-emotional development during the critical early years of life. Our in-house Financial Coach works in partnership with the Oakland Promise Brilliant Baby initiative, which is integrated into our Oakland Family Strengthening programs. Parents and guardians of children ages 0 to 4 years old have the opportunity to open a college savings account, funded with $500 from Brilliant Baby. Furthermore, parents and guardians can access free financial literacy resources and personalized financial coaching services at no cost.

•  Baby was born in Alameda County and lives in Oakland

•  Family is eligible and/or qualifies for low income programs such as Medi-cal, WIC, SNAP, or TANF

•  Child is under 4 years old
